What To Do When You’re Having An “Off” Day

Even the peppiest of us have our off days at work when we feel unmotivated. Here’s what to do when your feeling meh: 

  1. Step Away From Your Desk. Even if it’s just to go get water, take the longer route to the pantry.

  2. Speak To A Friend. Text a friend/significant other/whoever that you can vent to or that can cheer you up. We all need a pep talk once in a while!

  3. Say Yes To Social Coffee Time. This is a combo of #1 and #2 so might as well kill two birds with one stone! I don’t drink coffee but I enjoy the brief walk with colleagues for a quick refresh.

  4. Treat Yoself. Say yes to the extra guac and grab that cookie by the register.

  5. Create Little “Wins.” You can’t end a meh day without feeling just a tiny bit accomplished. Check off the easiest task on your to-do list. Better yet, if it wasn’t originally on your to-do list, add it in THEN check it off right after!
